While there's not a whole lot of detail in this security video, you can clearly see that the Tatarstan Airlines B737 went into the ground nearly vertically. This is odd, because the plane had already made one landing attempt at Kazan airport in Russia. All 50 passengers and crew were killed in the crash. The cause is not yet known.

OMG... That is a chilling video... You might want to warn folks of that... 50 souls on board... SMH... The rate of decent of the aircraft makes me think that they stalled on the go round (forgot to retract gear/flaps and/or executed a high bank angle turn?) and plummeted. Terrible. RIP all those that were on board.

Is it me, or were they coming in perpendicular to the runway (I'm assuming the lights are runway lights and not taxiway lights since I can't tell what color they are.)

Well, it states in the description that all 50 pax and crew were killed. I read in a BBC report that passengers who left the plane in Moscow complained of noises and shaking on that landing. My ballpark guess is some sort of catastrophic failure, perhaps of the elevator. USAir Flt. 427 crashed at Pittsburgh back in 1994 when the rudder deflected uncontrollably. Could have been something similar, especially if this were an older plane that didn't receive correct maintenance.

Can't tell which lights they are, but this is a security camera and I assume it's pointing out towards the runway from the gate.

Also, those flashes are interesting (the reflections off the pavement). I'm not sure if they are the anti-collision strobes or maybe a flame out on one or both engines.

My first thought was strobes. Enhance!

I would guess that at least two of those flashes are strobes, but I don't know the sequence on the 737 (and I'm too busy to Youtube it).
